Kingsley in Virginia Beach, VA

Just Adopted!...

Kingsley came into Rescue in Lakeland, Florida in crisis with unregulated diabetes. After a touch and go week in doggie ICU and boundless TLC from his 1st foster mom, Kingsley's life was saved and he largely bounced back, but not before we received word from the vet that both of his kneecaps were severely dislocated and this boy was in a lot of pain.

We needed to get Kingsley to another city and foster home where he could get the surgery he needed to get back on his paws.

That’s when Pilots N Paws came in. Through their website, which serves as a meeting place for rescue organizations like ours and pilots willing to assist with transporting rescues, we found George, and his wife Carmen. They flew Kingsley in their Beechcraft Bonanza from Florida to his new foster home in Virginia.

We are so grateful to these kind and caring people and the Pilots and Paws organization!

Given the severe pain Kingsley was in, he had his surgery within days of his arrival to foster care in Virginia. The feedback we’re getting from the surgeon so far is that Kingsley's prognosis for a successful recovery and pain-free life is excellent!

As you can imagine, double knee surgery is very expensive, especially when you’re dealing with potential complications from diabetes. So please consider making a financial contribution today to help underwrite the cost of Kingsley's vet bills.

With your help, this beautiful Blenheim boy will continue to steal hearts and make impressions at every turn – from the vet techs at the emergency room to the kids next door who made him a “Get Well Soon” card! And even after all he’s been through, everyone is his friend and all Kingsley wants to do is give kisses and nibble noses.

Please help this boy! To donate towards his care using pay pal or a credit card, click on the Donate button below...

To donate by check, please send your contribution c/o Sandi Prince, 3 John Todd Way, Redding, CT 06896.

Many thanks!
