Nigel in Redding, CT |
||||||
Just Adopted! Here is Nigel with his new mom and new friend, Casey...
Nigel was a homeless boy in Arkansas who moved to the Northeast for a new start in life.
Being a stray didn’t affect Nigel’s personality or disposition one bit. They are as good as it gets. He is sweet, loving, trusting and very easy going. Within an hour of arriving at his foster home, he had snuggled up in a group of dogs and was sound asleep. In his former home, he must have been around a lot of dogs because he has gotten along well with each one he has met here. In the vet’s office after happily greeting all of the dogs in the waiting room, he is content to sit on your lap.

As with dogs, Nigel likes every person he has met. His main activity at home is sleeping, and he excels at being a couch potato! He’ll fall asleep on anyone’s lap, but if your lap is not available, he will find the nearest dog and curl up and sleep with him with a gentle snore. Nigel is around four years old, very healthy, neutered and up to date on shots. He is house trained and has recently had his teeth cleaned. Nigel has been learning to walk on a leash and to follow some basic commands such as sit and stay. In the Spring, his new family will have to continue training him to walk on a leash. Now he practices leash walking in the basement of his foster home because it is so cold and icy outside. It will be a new and welcome experience for him to take walks outside when it is warmer.
Nigel’s new family should have at least one other dog for his companionship, a physically fenced in backyard (no invisible fences please) and have an adult around the house much of the time. He is being fostered in Redding, CT and families who live within a three hour drive and have the above requirements are welcome to apply to adopt him. After filling out the online application, please feel free to call adoption coordinator, Sandi at 203-938-5550. Thank You! |
