Just Adopted!

Hi Folks! My name is Taylor, but I've been told a good nickname for me would be "Marshmallow". I'm a very sweet, laid-back and playful black and tan 6 YO boy.

I am a tad "fluffy" at 43lbs, and my foster mother is watching my calories, so I expect to lose about 10 pounds or so.

My original mom passed away and then my caretaker got a bad injury and had to give me away to rescue. It's been a little rough, understandably, but life is looking sunnier now.

While I would really like to have my person around most of the time, I'm OK alone for a while. I have very nice manners and am very polite while my person eats--no begging or whining for "people food".

I do like to play with stuffed toys and don't rip them. And I'm good with my foster sisters and brother. They boss me around, but that's OK. I came from a family who had dogs, so ideally, my new home will have one or two also.

My vet says I have a grade 1 heart murmur, not bad for a fellow my age, and that I have grade 1-2 patellas, also not a big deal. Nothing bothers me, and I have no meds for those things, whatever they are.

I like to walk on a leash and do a happy dance when it comes out, but I'm not very fast, and my foster Mom is always telling me to hurry up. Maybe I'll be faster when I'm less fluffy.
