Teddy in Silverdale, WA

Just Adopted! Teddy is a special needs 6-year old Blenheim Cavalier. His special need requires LOVE, TRUST and more LOVE ……a FOREVER Home………and did I mention LOVE……

Teddy was a stud dog for a breeder up until 6 months ago at which time the breeder gave him away to a person who had another Cavalier and wanted a companion for her dog.  Teddy was not socialized with humans during his life and was very wary of human contact. During the next six months, his new owner tried her best to socialize him but, it was too difficult for her to devote the time and energy it would take to help Teddy overcome his fears along with her busy schedule. This is how Teddy came to be with his foster family. 

Teddy is presently staying in a wonderful family home of a reputable breeder who is very active in the local Cavalier Club. They have five other dogs that are all part of the family unit.

When Teddy arrived he would cower in his cage and spurn any contact from humans and was wary of other dogs.  Teddy has made huge advances in the short few weeks in his foster home. Even though he hangs back during playtime, he is making great strides in becoming part of the pack. Teddy continues to grow each day and will be wrestling with the others pups soon. 

Just a few weeks ago, any human contact would make Teddy rigid, almost statue like. Now, Teddy will inch towards an extended hand to go for a treat.  He loves to cuddle at your feet and be near you.

His foster parents have been teaching him a world of new experiences that eluded him so far. These experiences seems simple to us but for Teddy, the long walks, car rides, outings with other people and meeting all the other dogs with the Cavalier Club are all new. With small baby steps comes with huge improvements and the tail is now in constant motion:).  

Teddy is finding his Cavalier Heart that has been buried within. Teddy needs a forever family that will give him love, patience, trust, and attention. He will do best with a retired person or couple that wants a companion to go everywhere with them. New experiences will only bring out the best Teddy has to offer. Teddy is so ready to give but, he needs to be shown that the world he never experienced beyond the cage is safe and secure in order for him to gain confidence and not be fearful. The result will be that he will become your, buddy, partner, baby and Velcro Dog all rolled up in one wonderful, beautiful fur ball of LOVE.

If you are ready to give of yourself, you will be rewarded many thousands times over. Teddy is waiting for you.

Teddy has been neutered and has had several teeth removed but otherwise, is in good health.

He is being fostered in Silverdale, WA and families who live within a reasonable driving distance from there will be considered for his forever home.
