Xaria in Fort Collins, CO

This pup was just adopted...Meet Xaria shown here with her new mom!

Xaria is a 17-month old, recently spayed blenheim girl. She came to rescue because her family did not have time to work on house training. Xaria has been making great progress with that, but her new home should expect to continue the training process.

At almost 11 pounds, Xaria is a thin girl and gained a full pound the first week she was in foster care, but could use just a little more weight. She loves food and is happy to work on that also.

Xaria is full of energy, loves to play with toys and enjoys playing with other small dogs. She also enjoys sitting on laps and being a love sponge. Xaria walks nicely on leash. She is in good health and would love a home that has time to spend with her.

Her foster dad shares popcorn with the dogs -- tossing plain, air popped on the kitchen floor. Xaria dives into that nicely -- she will growl at other dogs who approach her while she is eating her regular meals though, but that has decreased some since she came into rescue, and learned the others won't steal her food. She was so skinny she was when she came in, so being protective of her supper is understandable.

Xaria can be a bit timid in new situations, but quickly adapts. She's really a sweetie, playful and affectionate. Check out her video to see her in action... Xaria

For Xaria's new home, a loving family with an adult home much of the time and with dog experience is preferred. Xaria is being fostered in Fort Collins, CO, and we are happy to talk with qualified families who live within a few hours of there.
