Just Adopted! Meet Kozmo-here he is happy with his new mom.
Hi, I’m Kozmo and I’m a happy boy, who just turned 4 years old. My original family gave me up because I had some bad habits, like stealing food that didn’t belong to me and being selfish about sharing my special treats and food. So that’s how I wound up with my foster family. I recently had my teeth cleaned by the doctor and am up to date on all that medical stuff. I am really good about doing all my doggie “business” outside and am pretty well behaved overall. I really love food and ate way too much of it at my other home, so now foster mom has me on a diet. I’ve lost a few pounds but have a ways to go. Since moving in with my foster family, I’ve learned a lot about something humans call “being polite”. While I don’t necessarily agree with this policy, I’m a good boy and want to please my humans, so I go along with it willingly. Foster mom says I’m very smart and learn quickly. Besides I love food (did I mention that before?) and will happily do whatever it takes to get some.

It only took me 2 days to learn to sit in my crate (with the door open) in order to get my meals and to wait until my foster brother and sister are finished eating before checking to see if there is any food that they didn’t want. Actually I’m just helping foster mom with the housekeeping, wouldn’t want any crumbs scattered about the floor. Even though I’m doing really well with this polite stuff, I’d be tempted to go back to my old “wicked ways” if allowed. I’m a pretty mellow guy overall, I like to play with my rope toy or have a little game of fetch, but hey, a guy needs his rest, so I don’t usually play for more than 10 minutes before a nice nap is in order. My hobbies include checking out the waste cans for tissues, checking around for things to eat (did I mention I love food?) and getting and receiving hugs. Foster mom says I’m very loveable and have the cutest face!
My ideal home would be with a family who was not gone for a really long time each day. I’m not a problem when left alone, but I’m sort of used to having someone around part time for hugs. If my new home had another dog, it would probably be best if it were a sister, since I get along much better with my foster sister and pretty much let her do anything she wants. My foster brother and I occasionally have arguments over things like nylabones, etc. and foster mom sometimes has to get involved. If you think a guy like me would fit into your family, please fill out the online application (note that you are interested in Kozmo in PA) and then contact Karen at kjsage@gmail.comApplicants should live within a 3-hour drive of Mercersburg, PA since we like to do mutual visits whenever possible. Thank You! |
