Meet Danny Boy - one of the sweetest boy we've ever fostered, which makes it sad that nature dealt him such a bad hand. You'd never know he has diabetes, EPI and dry eye from spending time with him. Danny is a happy, loving, and truly cheerful Cavalier boy, and handsome as all get out too!
Danny loves to cuddle and look at you with his big brown eyes. He's happiest at your side, be it on the couch, or on a dog bed beside you while you work. Just say his name, and his tail is in motion and wagging contentedly.
Take out the leash, and he's ready to go. He loves to walk and explore, and he enjoys meeting people and other pups along the way. Danny is a great ambassador for the breed!
Now, on to his special needs. While Danny is well regulated and acts and likely feels like a normal, healthy pup, he does need insulin injections twice a day, 12 hours apart, plus pancreatic enzymes with each meal, to stay healthy. He also needs an eye drop once a day. It's not difficult once you get into a routine, and Danny doesn't mind it at all, but it truly is needed to keep him healthy.
Danny came to rescue very much needing a dental, and that's been taken care of. He is neutered, micro-chipped, and up to date on vaccinations, plus heart clear.
This handsome boy recently turned 6 years old and he wants his next home to be his last. He's such a devoted soul and hopes for loyalty and love in return. He does require special care and so needs someone responsible who can take the time and effort to keep him on a solid routine and make sure his health is maintained.
Danny Boy is eligible for our ShareCare program, which means we will share in the cost of his first year's medication and an annual exam. To learn more, click here...ShareCare
