Have you been looking for that special buddy? If so I’m your dog and my name happens to be Buddy. I’m a 1 ½ year old tri male who was turned into a shelter in Arkansas. At my old home I lived in the backyard and didn’t get a lot of socialization. At my foster home I live in the house and receive lots of love. While I would like to stay here, I know I must find my forever home so more Cavaliers will have a chance at a new and better life.

I am neutered and up to date on all my shots. Living outside I got a case of heartworms which has been cleared up. I am on monthly preventative which I take with no problem. I enjoy chewing on hooves and destroying stuffed toys. You’d be amazed how fast I can shred one. Watch your nose since I love licking them (that could come in handy if you have a cold).
I am very comfortable around women, but need to warm up to men. Toddlers make me very nervous and I do a lot (and I mean a lot) of barking when they are around. I am fine with older kids. I can get protective of the person I’m most attached to. So if you have another dog, we will need to be watched until I settle in. I do get along with other dogs, but will fuss at them if they get near what I think belong to me. There is a cute little female here that is about my age and we love to play.

I will go outside, but like to be carried sometimes (going back in, no problem). I eat breakfast and dinner with a snack in between. I like to go for walks and rides. I’ve gotten pretty good at jumping in my foster dad’s lap while he sits in front of the computer. I like to snuggle in a chair or bed, but can enjoy just being in the same room with you.
So, if you are single, a couple, or a family with older kids looking for a loving dog think of me. On your worst day I’ll put a smile on your face. I get very excited when my foster family members come home and will do the same to you. I look forward to hearing from you.

Waiting for my Forever Home,
Buddy
