Buddy in Bartlett, TN

Have you been looking for that special buddy? If so I’m your dog and my name happens to be Buddy. I’m a 1 ½ year old tri male who was turned into a shelter in Arkansas. At my old home I lived in the backyard and didn’t get a lot of socialization. At my foster home I live in the house and receive lots of love. While I would like to stay here, I know I must find my forever home so more Cavaliers will have a chance at a new and better life.

I am neutered and up to date on all my shots. Living outside I got a case of heartworms which has been cleared up. I am on monthly preventative which I take with no problem. I enjoy chewing on hooves and destroying stuffed toys. You’d be amazed how fast I can shred one. Watch your nose since I love licking them (that could come in handy if you have a cold).

I am very comfortable around women, but need to warm up to men. Toddlers make me very nervous and I do a lot (and I mean a lot) of barking when they are around. I am fine with older kids. I can get protective of the person I’m most attached to. So if you have another dog, we will need to be watched until I settle in. I do get along with other dogs, but will fuss at them if they get near what I think belong to me. There is a cute little female here that is about my age and we love to play.

I will go outside, but like to be carried sometimes (going back in, no problem). I eat breakfast and dinner with a snack in between. I like to go for walks and rides. I’ve gotten pretty good at jumping in my foster dad’s lap while he sits in front of the computer.  I like to snuggle in a chair or bed, but can enjoy just being in the same room with you.

So, if you are single, a couple, or a family with older kids looking for a loving dog think of me. On your worst day I’ll put a smile on your face. I get very excited when my foster family members come home and will do the same to you. I look forward to hearing from you.

Waiting for my Forever Home,

Buddy

Greg, I sent you an email. If Buddy still needs a home, let's talk, and if not, I look forward to a future opportunity to meet you.

It sounds like you have a few people interested, but if you are still looking I really think he would happy with my daughter and me. I am a single mom who works from home and who would love some company while I sit at my computer and go on morning walks. My daughter is a mature 12 years old who would also be a wonderful companion. We just lost our beloved dog that we saved from the Humane Society her in Florida, and would love to share our home with another dog who also likes to snuggle, lick our nose, go on walks, play with toys and ride in the car..... Please let me know if he is still looking for a home. Thank you!

Yvonne, I don't know how he will do around the horses or cats, but he does fine with the other dogs here. I've got a black lab, a couple of springers and of course cavaliers. Please give me a call and we'll talk about him

I am very interested in adopting and while I live in Farmington, NM I happen to be coming from a family reunion in West Virginia and on the way to visit with a daughter in Houston and will be passing through Memphis on Tuesday (July 20). I have already filled out an application and wonder if there is anyway to visit with Buddy. Our son-in-law is a dog trainer in Houston and was excited when we told him about our interest in the King Charles Cavalier.
