Barkley in Little Rock, AR

Barkley’s journey to our rescue wasn’t due to abandonment but rather a loving transition from one home to another. His previous owners entrusted him to us to ensure he finds his perfect forever family.

Barkley arrived with a luxurious full coat, unfortunately severely matted, which required a haircut. But don’t worry, his coat will grow back, and in the meantime, he maintains his charm and charisma!

Barkley embodies canine relaxation and charm. With his gentle demeanor and endearing personality, he effortlessly steals hearts wherever he goes. He enjoys indulging in luxurious naps, leisurely strolls, and joyous car rides, reveling in life’s simple pleasures.

At ten pounds overweight, Barkley may have a bit of extra fluff, but it only adds to his cuddly charm. Despite this, his spirit remains undeterred, and he eagerly engages in play and exploration with enthusiasm.

Barkley is impeccably house-trained and prefers to keep all four paws firmly on the ground, abstaining from furniture-bound adventures. His laid-back nature and well-mannered disposition make him a joy to be around.

Barkley thrives in the company of adults and older children, radiating infectious positivity to all fortunate enough to cross his path. He has shown some food aggression and jealousy towards other pets so we think it is best that he is an only dog.

Barkley seeks a forever home that mirrors his laid-back disposition, with a family who appreciates the art of relaxation yet embraces occasional adventures. If you’re looking for a devoted friend whose unwavering loyalty and affectionate nature will enrich your life, Barkley is the perfect match for you.
