Belle in Chesterfield, MO

Update 1-9-25: We’ve received several promising applications for this pup so aren’t taking more for now. Thank you!

Belle is the name of one of Disney’s beloved princesses. It is the perfect name of this beautiful little (10 1/2 lbs) Blenheim girl. Although she is tiny at 4-years-old she has the tender, happy heart of an angel. So perfect to travel everywhere with her loved one.

Belle came to Cavalier Rescue USA due to her beloved family’s health decline. It’s obvious she was loved! Belle doesn’t know a stranger and her tail is in constant motion. She became part of the foster family (3 Cavaliers and several cats including a kitten) in record time. She cuddles with a pup or kitty if her foster mom is not available.

Belle is so very affectionate, often giving hugs with her face hugging against her foster mom’s face and climbing up on her foster mom’s lap at any chance. She does not know a stranger, however, due to her size small children may not be a good match.

She learned routines quickly. She prides herself in knowing the routines and running ahead. If routine is changed she comes back when called right away.

Belle is house trained in her foster home, however she needs consistent opportunities. She will run to the door to go outside but may need to learn where to go in her forever home. She is good on leash with harness and likes car rides in an elevated car seat so she can observe the world. Her favorite activity is any activity her person is doing.

Morning starts at 6:00 with potty and breakfast. She eats Fromm’s Chicken and Veg. She is not a fan of anything fish flavored. Potty opportunity after breakfast and every several hours. Dinner is about 5:30pm. Bedtime is 9:00pm. She goes to her crate and a blanket covers the enclosure. She is secure with this routine, never making a sound until 6:00am when she hears her foster mom, then the thump of the tail starts and she is picked up and loved!

Safety is a primary concern due to her small size. She should have constant protection and supervision when outside. Leash with a secure harness is necessary and caution at doorways to outside. She would not be safe unsupervised even in a physically fenced yard due to small size and vulnerability to owls, coyotes, or other dogs. Her coat is beautiful but not thick so in addition to her size she should be protected from cold with sweaters/coats.

Since coming to rescue, Belle has been spayed, had a dental cleaning where some teeth needed to be extracted, was treated for an ear infection, brought up to date on vaccines and is currently on flea/tick/heartworm prevention.

Belle is a very special young lady who has won her foster family’s heart and will complete her forever family! If you think you are Belle’s special family please submit an adoption application, if you haven’t already done so, and then contact Sarah Noebels at Cavalierrescuesarah@gmail.com so she knows of your interest.
