Biscuit and Gravy! Meet Biscuit, a happy 4-year old male Blenheim in good health and housetrained. What’s the Gravy? He loves to snuggle and hang out on the couch with his people. Who could ask for anything more? 

Biscuit came into rescue after his family made the difficult decision to surrender him because of his resource guarding. In a home with young children and another young dog, this was no longer a great fit for Biscuit.

Biscuit gets along well with the other Cavaliers in his foster home. (They range in age from three to eight years.) No high value toys are present in the home. Biscuit eats in his crate. These are all steps that have prevented any acts of resource guarding. But because of his history, Biscuit will not be placed in a home with children younger than ten.

Biscuit spends the day sitting in the lap of or very near his foster Mom (who works from home) and hanging out with the other Cavaliers. He enjoys playing fetch and exploring the fenced yard. But he mostly likes to snuggle. When his foster Mom says “TV room,” Biscuit is the first of the dogs on the couch.

Biscuit has excellent housebreaking skills, and has not had any accidents in his foster home. He does well on the leash and gets his business done outdoors pretty quickly.

Biscuit is crate-trained. He goes into his crate when his foster Mom has to run errands. He also sleeps in his crate next to his foster Mom’s bed. Biscuit shows some signs of separation anxiety, barking when his foster Mom leaves the house or the room. To help minimize this, Biscuit will only be considered for applicants who are home during the day and night to keep Biscuit company.

When new people have come to visit, Biscuit has been happy to sit on their laps too. (It may take him a few minutes to warm up to new people.) He is up-to-date on his vaccinations, has been microchipped and neutered.
