Bucko in Portland, ME

Here is Bucko with his new family…

Say hello to Bucko! Bucko is a gentle and affectionate 5-year-old Cavalier with a unique and beautiful chocolate coat. He came to rescue because his owner was relocating. One look at his handsome face and big, soft brown eyes and you will succumb to his charm!

Bucko is very people-centric and has become incredibly devoted to his foster dad after just a short time in rescue, so we know he has a heart full of love and will do best in a home with near constant human companionship. He has an endearing playfulness as well, loves squeaky toys, and enjoys gently romping with his Cavalier foster brother. 

Bucko is in good health with no current health issues . He is neutered and up-to-date on immunizations and preventatives. He is larger-framed at 39 pounds, and will need a little help getting to an ideal weight closer to 33-34 pounds. He loves to go on walks and is a gentleman on a leash, so we have no doubt his new family will find great joy in regular walks with Bucko. 

When he’s not enjoying the great outdoors, Bucko loves cuddling on the couch with his people and watching out the window for neighborhood activity.

Bucko is an absolute sweetheart with a lot of love to give to his forever family. He has integrated well into a foster family with small children and two Cavaliers. He seems inclined to attach to one special adult and would likely do the same with his forever family.
