Butterfly in Tulsa, OK

Butterfly is a 5-year-old Blenheim Cavalier who had several litters of puppies for a breeder. She was retired from breeding and has been happily learning to be a pet in a home with other Cavaliers.

She is a sweet somewhat timid girl but has come out of her shell a lot as she trusts her foster mom more for her food and attention. She will approach you now for petting and doesn’t run when reached for. She loves to run in a fenced yard with other dogs and likes to sleep on soft toys that she gathers in her bed or on the couch.

Butterfly is housetrained with a dog door and has not had any accidents in the house. She loves to eat and get treats. She sleeps in a dog bed or on the couch.

She went to the vet and had a good teeth cleaning and ear cleaning when she was spayed. It was determined that she has a grade 2 heart murmur, and following a chest x ray, was placed on a daily medication. This will need to be continued for the rest of her life. She doesn’t exhibit any symptoms at this point and could live a long and healthy life with good quality food, medication, exercise and regular veterinary care. She is microchipped and on preventatives for heart worm and fleas.

Butterfly will follow her person around the house and has beautiful big eyes that sparkle when you talk to her. She does well with children and other dogs. If another dog exhibits fear or anxiety, Butterfly will take a toy and get right next to it for comforting. (Very sweet) She has not been tested with a cat. She would be happy in a relatively calm environment with a steady schedule that she can rely on and a fenced yard to run around. Butterfly is going to be a great companion dog for someone who has time to devote to her for love, safety and fun.
