Here is Charlie with his new family…

Hi, I’m Charlie! I had been living my best life for 7 years until my owner’s health declined and she was moved to Memory Care.

Even with all this stress, I am a smart, sweet and happy boy. I know basic commands and I’m house trained. I love going for walks and am SO good on the leash. When on walks, I don’t react to bicycles, garbage trucks, or squirrels. I’m more interested in smelling all the good smells. I’m pretty chill if another dog barks or comes at me. I currently have four foster siblings and we all get along fine. Nonetheless, I am really all about my person. I spent a few days around two cats and was non reactive. I’m calm around small children.

My owner was retired and home all day. I need a place where my people are primarily home, allowing me to snuggle close on the couch. I love being allowed to sleep on the bed. I get attached very quickly but I do have some anxiety. I can be destructive when left alone uncrated. I am working on the idea of being crate trained. I’m learning that it’s a safe place for when I am alone.

I am up to date on all of my inoculations. I was neutered 1/7/26. They did discover I have a grade 4 heart murmur. No medications were recommended at this time, but I will eventually need them. My heart needs to be checked semi-annually.
