💖 Meet Claire, a precious, petite, 4-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who’s ready to fill your life with endless love and companionship! Claire is a sweet and quirky little girl who loves nothing more than lounging in a cozy lap or playing with her favorite stuffed turtle. She’s settled into her foster home beautifully and even goes to work every day at a vet clinic, where she’s adored by all the staff!

Claire’s journey has been one of strength and resilience. She was originally surrendered due to limited mobility, but after losing 3 pounds and undergoing surgery for a very severe luxating patella, her mobility has significantly improved. Though Claire still has a chronic condition called atlantoaxial subluxation, which causes her to walk with a bit of wobble, she’s made incredible strides and can now walk and even run on carpet, rugs, and stone flooring. She’s also started walking more confidently on wooden and tile floors with a little extra care.

This sweet girl will benefit from continued exercise and diet. Claire recently had a dental cleaning during which time she had 17 teeth extracted to keep her smile healthy. She’s up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. 

Claire is a low-energy, loving, lap dog who would be happy in a home where someone is around most of the time or someone who can take her to work! She absolutely loves warmth and is happiest when curled up in a cozy spot; she does need a sweater in colder weather to stay comfortable. She doesn’t need another dog or cat for companionship (though she gets along fine with both) and doesn’t require a fenced yard. Claire just wants to be with her people, soaking up all the love and attention she deserves. 💕

We’re looking for an owner in Utah, or the right person who is willing to travel to meet Claire and bring her into their home. If you think you’re the one for her, we’d love to hear from you! Claire is waiting for a family who will appreciate her sweet, easy-going nature and continue to provide her with the care and love she needs.
