Daisy in Creswell, OR

Here is Daisy with her new family…

Meet Daisy! A beautiful 5-year-old, silky soft, Black-and-Tan girl who is eager to meet her forever family. Daisy came into rescue because her family had some life changes and wanted her to live her best life.

Daisy previously lived with another Cavalier and has thrived in her foster home with other dogs and cats. Once she adjusted to her foster home, Daisy began to initiate play with her foster siblings. She especially enjoys playing tug-of-war! Daisy greets all of her two and four-legged foster family members with her happy Cavalier tail wag.

Daisy enjoys keeping an eye on her foster mom throughout the day, following along as she does chores and laying quietly by her feet while she works at her computer. In the evening, she prefers her foster dad’s lap for snuggles and belly rubs and wants to show her gratitude by giving kisses. If her foster family leaves during the day, she rests quietly in her crate and greets them with little “woo-woo” sounds of happiness upon their return.

Daisy would love to snuggle up to you all day and all night long. While in foster care, she sleeps quietly through the night in her crate, the only sound being her soft snoring and the thump of her tail when her foster parents get up in the morning.

Daisy is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and had a much-needed dental cleaning in foster care. She weighed 24 pounds at her initial vet checkup, which may contribute to her snoring and “reverse sneeze” when she is excited. Her ideal weight is somewhere between 18-20 pounds, so she will need to continue her strict dog food-only diet and would greatly benefit from regular short walks. Other than flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, Daisy does not require any medications.

Daisy is house trained and enjoys frequent trips outdoors to ensure success. She even learned how to use the doggy door at her foster-grandma’s house! Daisy happily comes when called and walks well on a leash. She is working on sit and stay commands. Her foster mom thinks Daisy would do best in a home with a fenced yard, where someone is home most of the day.
