Felicity in Kensington, MD

Update 11-22-23: We’ve received several promising applications for this pup so aren’t taking more for now. Thank you!

Meet Felicity, the sweetest Blenheim girl. She was given to rescue by her breeder. She is always wagging her tail and excited to greet us whenever we come home. She is the quintessential Cavalier, loves sleeping and being with her foster family. She loves napping on a comfy chair, couch or pillow (basically the softest place she can find near her humans).

She has been excited to learn about walking on a leash and has been doing quite well, after following the lead of the other two Cavaliers in her foster home. Whenever she sees another person approaching, she will stop and wait, assuming they will of course want to pet her and love on her. While she is doing good with walking on a leash, she will still need patience and more training from her forever home.

Felicity is a good weight at 18.5 lbs. She has a beautiful shiny coat and the adorable “thumbprint” marking on her head. Her ears had to be shaved due to matting but are already starting to grow back in. She just turned 6 years old (born 10/25/2017) and is very healthy. She was recently spayed, had her teeth cleaned, and was brought up to date on vaccines. She came into rescue with an ear infection but that has been cleared up. Her forever home should keep an eye on her ears to make sure they stay healthy. She is completely housebroken and hasn’t had a single accident in her foster home.

Felicity is currently living with two other Cavaliers. She really enjoys laying with them and watching what they do. She just started playing with toys after watching the other dogs for a while. It would be ideal for her forever home to have another dog or two to help show her the ropes.

Felicity’s current home has two human children, age 7 and 9. She has done very well with them. She likes to lay on their beds at bedtime while we read books and is happy to accept pets from them. She has not interacted with any children younger than this while in foster care.

I honestly cannot say enough great things about Felicity. If I could adopt her I would, but my husband has told me we are at our max pet allowance (fostering is the loophole). She will make a wonderful addition to someone’s home. I truly envy the lucky family who gets to be sweet Felicity’s forever family. If you think that may be you please complete our online application, if you haven’t already, and then email Diane Lombardo, cavalierrescueusamdwv@gmail.com so she knows of your interest.
