Finley and Stella in Fishers, IN

Here are the pups with their new family…

Finley and Stella are the sweetest little bonded duo. Finley is a gorgeous black and tan with the softest wavy coat who perches in your lap the minute you sit down. His gorgeous “sister” Stella is the most lovable little lady who kisses Finley every chance she gets. The two cuddle all day long and rarely leave each other’s side. At 4 years old and 22 lbs, Finley is a medium build guy who loves treats and belly rubs. Stella is a little more demure at 18 lbs and 2 years of age, but she too never misses a cuddle or a snack. The pair came from a loving home to Cavalier Rescue USA after their family needed to move and downsize. They were very well-taken care of and up-to-date on everything.

Both dogs immediately adapted to their foster home and love their people. Stella is very affable and sweet to every single soul she meets. She is so content in all situations. Finley is also a happy boy who truly wants all the attention. He doesn’t get jealous of Stella, but he can be protective of his people and get a little jealous if the resident dogs get more attention than him. They both love to snuggle and be super close to their humans. They are both such sweethearts. They don’t even notice that a kitty lives with them too. Both dogs are fine with their crates and love cozy dog beds.

Both dogs are potty-trained, but they need a consistent schedule to let them out in a fenced back yard. They also walk really well on a leash. Finley gets so excited when the leash comes out that he vocalizes his excitement until he gets outside. Stella walks great on the leash, but she can be a little stubborn about doing her business while on the leash. She definitely takes her sweet time to pick a potty spot. She also loves to play ball and fetch in the yard. She has a special pink ball that has become her favorite. They walk with the pack really well on family walks.

Both dogs are in excellent health. They are up-to-date on all vaccinations and did great at the vet. Finley was recently treated for ear infections, which is common for the breed because of their sweet, floppy ears. His hearing isn’t the best, but it doesn’t affect him one bit. His ears are just so extra amazing that it might hinder his first response to sound. The vet said it could also be selective hearing. He also just went to the groomer, and they said he was such a good boy. Stella has the prettiest markings and the cutest little freckles on her nose. Everyone who meets her comments on how darling she is with her big eyes and sweet smile.

A physical fenced yard is required to adopt Finley and Stella. They need to be monitored in the yard as they both love to pick up grass and mulch. Someone who works from home or has a flexible schedule is desired. It is recommended that no other dogs are in the house. Finley can get jealous of other dogs (not Stella) and become possessive of his humans. Cats are fine.
