Hi!  I’m Georgie! 

I’m a 6-7 year old tricolor boy given to rescue when my people split up. I love to be outside and explore nature. I am happiest taking a long meandering morning walk through the woods or park, then taking a long snooze with you at my side afterward. As sweet as I am handsome, I am also a very good boy. I sleep all night in my crate, do my business outside when I should, know my basic commands, and tolerate your having to leave me without complaint (although I would always rather go with you), and greet you so warmly when you return.   

I do love my food! And your food! And the other dog’s food! I currently weigh 30 pounds. Diets are so hard, but the vet says I should lose a few pounds so I am trying. My old vet said I had an umbilical hernia and a grade 1 heart murmur but my foster mom’s vet says there’s no murmur, so go figure.

I’m pretty independent, and happy to do my own thing as long as you are near. I get along great with the other dog in my foster mom’s house, and all the kids in the neighborhood pet me and tell me how cute I am.   

My ideal home would give me the chance to run and play outside frequently. I love adventure and being included in activities. I don’t need someone home all the time, but I don’t think I would like being alone all day either. Somewhere in between would be just fine.
