Grace in San Antonio, TX

Update 5-11-24: We’ve received several promising applications for this pup so aren’t taking more for now. Thank you!

Grace is an eleven month old Blenheim girl born 06/18/2023 with a heart full of love. She had to be surrendered due to allergies of a family member.

Grace has been a squirming ball of energy since she first arrived at her foster home. She can play tug-a-war for hours and is getting very good at fetch. Even though Grace came from a single dog home, Grace quickly adapted to her foster siblings. She loves exploring the backyard with her foster sister and especially loves chasing/wrestling with her foster brother! Grace seems to love having a pack, for this reason her foster mom believes she would do best in a home with other dogs.

Grace prefers to spend her day next to her foster mom or dad (Grace loves everyone!). Grace is crate trained and enjoys her crate. If inside she is probably playing tug-a-war, or relaxing in her crate area. When outside Grace loves playing fetch, sniffing dirt, or just sitting on the patio (her foster siblings are trying to teach her about birds and squirrels). Grace is still one hundred percent puppy. She will have wild burst of energy, and five minutes later she will be sleeping in your arms. Grace is becoming a graceful adult Cavalier: she loves being brushed, cuddling close, and giving kisses.

Grace would do well with some training. She appears to be very smart and has learned to come when her name is called and sit. She is mostly potty trained. Grace has never had an accident in her crate, and has only had a handful of accidents inside the home. Grace’s foster mom thinks Grace knows she needs to potty outside, but she does not know how to notify anyone that she needs to potty (if taken out regularly she is perfect). Everything is exciting for this puppy: she twirls and wags her whole body for everything from being fed to going on walks. And the car…Grace’s favorite activity might be backseat driving! Grace has barked occasionally, but only at people walking by the house or other dogs on walks. Overall, Grace is a fairly quiet dog and well behaved.

When not living life to its absolute fullest, Grace is sleeping! (Note: Grace has the energy of a puppy. She receives 2 thirty minute walks a day and plays fetch and tug inside.) She will gladly sleep on the couch curled up next to you or stretched out on her back taking up most of her dog bed. When Grace is sleeping, Grace is snoring. Grace sleeps soundly through the entire night in her crate (eight hours). Grace is spayed and up to date with her recent health records and vaccinations.

Grace would do best in a home with a fenced in backyard where there is someone home to play and cuddle with her most of the day. She would love a home with other dogs (preferably ones with energy to play with her). Grace loves people! Grace’s foster mom thinks she would do equally well devotedly loving one person or sharing her love with a large family!
