Here are the pups with their new mom…

Meet Gus and Gabe, a pair of charming buddies who are ready to bring endless love and companionship to their forever home. This bonded duo lost their previous owner, but they haven’t lost their affectionate spirits or zest for life. They are looking for a special home where they can continue to share their unique bond and bring joy to their new family.

Gus, the senior gentleman weighs 18 lbs and was estimated to be between 12 and 15 years old by the vet. He has the heart of a young pup and the soul of a wise old friend. Despite his age, he remains quite mobile and loves to be around his little brother. Gus is a Cocker Spaniel with a gentle demeanor. He’s content with a big, comfy bed where he can snooze the day away. Due to not always being able to hold his urine very long, Gus wears doggie diapers, but he has no trouble going number two outside if let out every 3-4 hours. He is a sweet and low-maintenance companion who enjoys being close to his family. He does have some back end muscle weakness which can make it hard to get up from laying down if he is in an area without good footing (wood). Once up he is off and gets around great. And if on carpet or by an object, he also gets up very well.   

Gabe, affectionately known as “Gabe the Bebe,” is a 7-year-old bundle of joy. Weighing just 13 pounds, this little guy is full of energy and is always eager for snuggles. Gabe has a grade 4 heart murmur but doesn’t require medication at this time. He had an echocardiogram while in foster care and has no symptoms. His playful nature and love for affection make him the perfect lap dog. Gabe thrives in an environment where someone is home most of the time to give him the attention and love he craves.

Both Gus and Gabe are looking for a home where they can stay together and continue to bring joy to their new family. They are up to date on their vaccinations, microchipped, on heartworm prevention, and have both had recent dentals. Gus and Gabe are great with people and would do best in a home where they can get plenty of love and attention. They will need regular potty breaks and a bit of patience while they adjust to their new routine.

This delightful pair would love a home where someone can be around to shower them with affection. They’re adaptable and would be happy in a home with or without a yard, as long as they get to be with their people. Gus and Gabe are truly special and ready to fill your home with love and happiness.
