Coco in Littleton. CO

Meet Coco, an affectionate 8-year old black and tan Cavalier with a beautiful silky black and brown coat. This sweet Cavalier came into rescue when her owners moved into a place that did not allow pets. Like most Cavaliers, Coco wants to be with people and loyally follows her person everywhere around the house.

She is up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. Coco has a grade IV heart murmur and saw a board certified cardiologist for an exam. The heart medication she takes costs approximately $55 /mo. She had a dental cleaning last spring and is very cooperative for brushing. Coco has Inflammatory Bowel Disease which is managed with a prescription diet which is about $20 a month and a prescription medication which cost about $22 a month.

Coco just has this spunkiness about her – especially when she sees a dog or even a football game on the television. She jumps down from the couch and dances about with excitement. When she realizes that whatever was going on is no big deal, she settles back down for a nap.

Coco is housetrained. A fenced in yard is recommended so that she can go outside every several hours during the daytime. She spends most of her day sitting beside her foster mom’s desk, or snuggling on the couch with a family member and her canine foster brother. Coco is content sleeping in her crate for short periods of time throughout the day while her foster mom runs errands and at nighttime in a crate beside the big bed.

Coco is a trim, healthy 15 pounds and came into rescue at a good weight. She has learned from her foster brother that feeding time is fun and worth enjoying every bite.

Coco, although loyal and affectionate, is timid and unassertive so would do best with another small, friendly dog around. She likes to follow her foster brother’s lead. If he is willing to come up and greet you to say hello, Coco will follow and do the same. When her foster mom returns home, Coco darts around the kitchen island with joy and excitement. She enjoys exploring the backyard and going on walks. She was leash trained while in foster care and will accompany her foster brother on walks around the neighborhood. She doesn’t want to miss out and really does want to please.

Coco’s wishes to find a forever home that will love her and enjoy spending time with her. If you are interested in adding Coco to your home, please complete an online application and contact Carolyn at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
