Kobe in Cinnaminson, NJ

Here is the pup with his new family…

Meet Kobe, a 3-year-old Blenheim boy born 5/4/2021 who found his way to rescue after the death of his owner. Despite the sad circumstances, he has responded well to his foster home and is a sweet and confident boy.

At 13 pounds, Kobe is an amiable and cute boy who has enjoyed the company of another resident pup while in his foster care. He was a bit shy at first, but once he realized that his foster parents were good for ear scratches and belly rubs, he warmed up quickly. He may bark when initially meeting strangers or when out on walks, but he settles quickly.

Kobe is neutered, microchipped, and received updated vaccines while in foster care. He is heart clear and has a slight grade 1 left-side luxating patella, which does not pose any limitations. With continued moderate exercise and keeping him at an ideal weight, he should fare well. Since he’s been in foster care, he enjoys (and expects!) his short walks, and he does well on leash.

Fully housetrained, Kobe is very reliable and does alert his foster parents when he needs to go out by barking or jumping. He would do best in a fenced yard since he likes to explore and given his interest in deer, but also needs to be walked daily. He also loves to play fetch and tug.

Kobe loves to be with his people and will sleep quietly on his dog bed and near his humans at night. Outside of the house, he has met other dogs and cats and done well and would benefit from having another friendly pup or dog-friendly cat in his forever home. He has not interacted with children and would not be suitable in a home with small children.
