Here is Lady with her new family…

Meet Lady! Vintage isn’t just for fine wine and antiques, it’s also the perfect word to describe Lady, a beautiful 10-year-old Blenheim Cavalier who embodies grace, charm, and sweetness.

Petite and dainty at just 11 pounds, Lady came into rescue when her owner realized Lady needed more attention than she could provide. That decision opened the door for Lady to receive the extra TLC she deserves and to find a new family who will adore her every bit as much.

From the moment she arrived in her foster home, Lady settled in with quiet confidence and gentle curiosity. She loves all the simple pleasures in life; a tasty meal, a stroll around the neighborhood, a soft toy to toss around, and snuggling up for a good movie on the couch with her people.

She’s the perfect housemate who is fully doggie-door trained and polite. The only time she “talks” is at mealtime, when she makes sure you know she’s very interested in what’s being prepared!

When you have to step out, Lady may give a tiny whimper of disappointment but soon settles on the couch with a toy or a cozy nap until you return. She truly enjoys the company of her Cavalier foster siblings and has fit right into the pack with ease. Though she hasn’t been around cats, her calm, gentle temperament suggests she may adapt without much fuss. Lady is kid friendly and really enjoys the attention she receives from her foster mom’s grandchildren.

Lady knows her basic commands and is happiest sleeping near her humans at night. Her years haven’t come without a few challenges. She does have a grade V/VI heart murmur, but during her time in rescue she received a full cardiology work-up and began taking a 2x daily dose of Vetmedin to help slow its progression. She also had a dental cleaning and lost several teeth from which she’s fully healed. None of these things slow her down or dampen her joyful spirit.

Thanks to the care and oversight she’s received in her foster home, Lady now maintains her sprightly, girlish figure and continues to greet each day with quiet enthusiasm. She’s a wonderful reminder that timeless treasures come in all shapes and sizes. If you enjoy taking your dog with you to work, shopping, or to meet a friend for coffee, Lady is easily portable and happy to keep you company.

Lady is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find her forever home.
