Leo in Columbus, OH

This handsome little guy is Leo. He is a charming 4 year old Blenheim male who came to Cavalier Rescue USA when his owner was no longer able to care for him.

He is energetic and playful at times,  and calm, snuggly and full of kisses at other times. He is so eager to please that he generally lets you decide the mood. He listens very well, plays nicely, and can entertain himself independently with chew toys. He is quiet and well behaved when his foster mom works from home.

Leo walks very well on a leash, but loves to run fast. Therefore, he would really like a home with a fenced in back yard where he can zoom. He is housebroken, well trained (including reliable recall) but can get very excited by squirrels and other dogs. He was raised as an only pup, but gets along great with his foster mom’s other dogs, both of whom are very relaxed. Before coming to us from a family member’s home,  he was a little overwhelmed by active louder dogs and he is startled by loud noises. A calm, quieter environment is probably best for Leo. He does love to play, however, so older kids would be just great. Leo would do best in a home where someone was home most of the time.

This adorable 20 pound boy is heart-healthy, with luxating patellas in both knees that have not yet required treatment. He has mild seasonal allergies treated with OTC Benadryl.
