Leopold in Suffolk, VA

Here is Leopold with his new family…

Leopold is approximately 3 years old and unbelievably was found as a stray with no tags or chip. He has been neutered, chipped and found to be healthy. He is at a good weight of 21 pounds and is larger in stature for a Cavalier.

It is quite clear what a handsome young man he is. His foster mom says he is without a doubt the most loving and affectionate Cavalier she has ever seen! Leo loves playing with his foster sister who is about the same age and is slowly learning how fun toys can be. He is completely in heaven ON your lap and often is a hugger. He does well sleeping in the bed and snuggling with his foster family.

That being said this little guy does have some significant separation anxiety. If left to his own devices while alone, his level of mischievousness is noteworthy. His forever family must be willing to commit to professional training classes and for his safety, crating when he is left alone. He will do best with as little alone time as possible.

Although he gets along wonderfully with his foster Cavalier brother and sister, he is not the most comfortable around larger dogs. Because of his need of training we recommend only older children in the home. He walks well on a leash and loves being active. Leopold requires a secure fenced yard as he can be an escape artist if given the chance.

This young man will surely be a wonderful addition to one lucky family.
