Levi in Little Rock, Arkansas

Here is Levi with his new family…….

Meet Levi, a 4 year old male Cavalier. He is an incredibly intelligent, loving boy weighing 22 pounds. Levi is an easy going guy who wants nothing more than to be your best friend and cuddle on the couch. His mission is to be with his family as much as possible and keep them within eyesight.

Levi is excellent with all kinds of dogs, at first he was timid around his foster family’s dogs, but he quickly realized there was nothing to be afraid of and enjoys snoozing with them on the human bed. He has not been around smaller creatures or cats, so it is undetermined how Levi would adjust to these animals. Levi is wonderful with children. He loves anyone willing to give him unlimited snuggle time, however he prefers the company of a man. Because Levi is so loving and wants to be near his people as much as possible he does not enjoy being left home alone or outside away from his family. Levi loves toys, so much so he would like to taste them and see how delicious they are. Because of this, Levi needs to be monitored when playing with dog toys. He does best with toys that do not have small pieces of fabric on them.

Levi is doing an excellent job with house training, he has had zero accidents at his foster family’s home however, because Levi is a male he does struggle with marking. After his neuter, Levi is doing much better but he will need continued, consistent training. To help with this, Levi wears a belly band when inside the house. Levi is also crate trained at night, but he prefers to be on the bed with the family. Like we said before, Levi is incredibly intelligent and taught himself how to open his kennel to join his family on the bed.

Levi has been to the vet and was diagnosed with a grade 1 heart murmur. During his neuter and dental his chest was x-rayed and Levi is happy to report his heart is not enlarged. The vet recommends Levi’s heart murmur  to remain monitored but no medications are required at this time. Levi is current on all shots, microchipped, and neutered.

Levi would be happy in a home with someone he can be with, like a retired couple or work from home situation. It would be best for Levi to have a fenced in yard, as he will go to no ends to be united with his family. He does not like to be left alone. Levi is a true companion dog. He is a sweetie and his love is endless.
