Logan in Chesapeake, VA
Meet Logan, a beautiful 3-year-old Tri-colored boy who is a sweetheart.
Logan enjoys the company of his foster sibling pups and people of all ages. He has not had any experience with cats at this point in time. He likes to play with toys, and really enjoys tummy rubs.
Logan came into rescue at 31 lbs so needs to trim a few pounds. He is housebroken and does well on a leash when walking. On occasion he will decide he doesn’t want to walk any further, but with patience can be encouraged to complete the walk. When he wants something he will stand and look at you, woofing and scratching his back left foot on the floor. Makes us laugh every time! He can be such a funny boy!
Logan is neutered and up to date on all shots and vaccinations. Through an MRI in March of this year, it was determined that Logan has Chiari-like Malformation with secondary subtle syringomyelia, which are neurological conditions that unfortunately can be common in Cavalier Spaniels.
Since coming into rescue in May, Logan has not shown any signs of discomfort. His daily activities are closely monitored and he takes Gabapentin 100 mg capsules 2 times a day. To ensure these excellent results continue, a minimum of stair climbing is recommended. Therefore, Logan will be happiest in a single story home to help prevent any reoccurrence of back pain.
