Lynzie in Houston, TX

Lynzie is a lovely six-year-old Ruby girl raised in a loving home that had to surrender her due to a change in the owner’s circumstances. A beautiful dog with long flowing red fur and feathers, Lynzie presents shy, quiet and timid until she becomes acclimated to her new surroundings. 

She maintains excellent eye contact, seldom barks and after some quality time together, built trust and warmed up to her surroundings. Lynzie eventually socialized with the other dogs in the household and followed their lead. She is chill and laid back most of the time and will snuggle with the foster mom and other dogs. She enjoys having her fur brushed, belly rubbed and to hold her paws.

She sleeps quietly through the night in a crate or on a doggie bed or couch. Note, that it appears she had a history of having puppies, but this has not been confirmed. She is spayed and up to date with her recent health record and vaccinations. The vet exam noted that she is healthy, heart murmur-free and her teeth appear in good condition. 

Lynzie has had a few accidents when first introduced to the home, but learned to do her business outside. It still may take some learning, but she is teachable and eager to please. She prefers to eat from a bowl separate from the other dogs that may butt in to steal her food. 

Lynzie walks well on the leash alone and together with another dog. A fenced in yard is ideal and she will be happy in a home where she is the only dog or where there is another dog. She did not bark and did not react to cats in the neighborhood.
