Meet Parker! This delightful one-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel–Havanese mix has a heart as big as his irresistible smile and soulful brown eyes.

Parker is the perfect blend of affectionate lap dog and playful companion, equally happy cuddling beside you or joining in on the day’s activities.

Parker came into rescue as a breeder release, and was initially skittish and unsure how to accept affection.

Thanks to the patience and love of his foster home, he has made wonderful progress and is truly beginning to understand the joys of being an indoor, cherished family member. Watching his confidence grow has been incredibly rewarding.

Since Parker missed out on early socialization, he thrives on canine companionship and takes great comfort in the presence of other dogs. He will do best in a home with a like-minded canine buddy who can be his best friend and help him build confidence.

In rescue, Parker was neutered, brought up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

True to his Cavalier roots, Parker is gentle, loving, and eager to please.

From his Havanese side, he brings a cheerful spirit and a slightly goofy, fun-loving personality that’s impossible to resist. He enjoys playtime with toys, zooming in the yard with other dogs, and being part of everyday household life, but he also knows how to settle nicely and relax when it’s time to unwind.

Still young, Parker will benefit from continued positive-reinforcement training. He has learned to use a doggy door and is doing well with house training, though an occasional accident may happen as he adjusts to a new environment.

His beautiful coat will require a family committed to regular grooming to keep him comfortable and mat-free.
