Precious in St. Louis, MO

Update 9-25-24: We’ve received several promising applications for this pup so aren’t taking more for now. Thank you!

Hello, my name is Precious. I am a healthy Blenheim Cavalier girlie girl born 5/14/2021. My foster mom named me that because she said I am absolutely precious. I came to the rescue from a good Samaritan who saved me from a life of breeding puppies, so I can enjoy the world as a sweet companion to my forever family.

I was so scared when I first came to live with my foster family that I wouldn’t eat for a few days. But soon, I realized that they are safe and loving, so now I am flourishing. My previous trauma from loud noises and sudden movements still startles me, so I truly believe I would work best with a family that does not have children or loud and animated adults. Also, I am an escape artist, so a secured yard with a fence is a must!

I have been working so hard on my potty training, and my foster mom says I’m doing a great job! I have not learned how to let her know that I have to go out, but she always seems to know and frequently takes me out to do my business to be safe.

I love my comfy crate with all the pillows and blankets, so I do well for a few hours if you decide to leave me at home. However, I would love sitting on the couch with you and snuggling next to you even more, so I prefer my new family to be at home as much as possible!

I have grown to love my foster siblings, a Cavalier puppy and a senior Cavalier girl. They both are teaching me how to thrive in my new world! I play with the puppy, and I love to chill with my older foster sister! They have helped teach me both a routine and trust! I would really love to be in a new forever home with another fur baby!

I do have to disclose two things… I find toilet paper fascinating, so if you leave it on the roll, I will take it to see how far I can go. Also, I tend to have a burp after I eat, which makes my foster mom laugh every time, even though I have not figured out how to say excuse me!

Before going to my new home I am going to be spayed and have my choppers cleaned. They tell me that I might possibly have a few teeth removed, but I will be ready for my forever home soon!

If you want to adopt me, please fill out the online application if you haven’t already and then email Sarah Noebels at cavalierrescuesarah@gmail.com so she knows of your interest in me.
