Princess Annie in West Hills, CA

Do you have room in your kingdom for a princess? Annie was much loved and very well taken care of in her previous home and deserves to continue to have the care and devotion worthy of a Princess. Princess Annie is a 12-year-old tricolor Cavalier weighing 19 lbs. She was born on May 1, 2011.

Annie arrived in foster care when her elderly owner entered a hospice care facility and family members could not take her. While in rescue, Annie had a dental with four extractions. She has seen a Cardiologist where it was found that she has grade 5/6 systolic murmur with mild left atrial enlargement, stage B2. There is no evidence of congestive heart failure. She takes Vetmedin 2.5 mg tablets, twice a day. The vet was not concerned about a number of papilloma’s/skin tags on her body and they don’t seem to bother her.

Annie seems to have slept through some of her princess training. Food and table manners could be improved upon. Foster mom has found that it is best to offer her treats on a flat hand. She is not food aggressive with her two foster siblings; she just gets a bit excited and wants to make sure that she gets her share of whatever is being handed out. She is also amazingly quick when something hits the floor.

Princess Annie is a very sweet, loving, playful, senior lady. She’s outgoing and loves meeting new people and going on new adventures. She would do well as an only dog but wouldn’t mind a dog companion of any size. She has not been cat tested.

Annie would like her forever home to include someone home most of the time. She enjoys trips in the car and is an excellent traveler. A fenced yard to explore is a plus. Stairs can be challenging but have gotten easier with some supplements added to her diet. Respectful children are fine. Annie is not a yippy dog but can be vocal at mealtime and when she wants your attention.
