Radar in San Antonio, TX

Update 8-16-24: We’ve received several promising applications for this pup so aren’t taking more for now. Thank you!

Meet Radar, an 18-month old Ruby Cavalier born 12/09/2022 . This pup has a heart as rich as his beautiful chestnut coat. Coming from a commercial breeding situation, Radar may have had a challenging short life, but his resilience and adaptability have shone through.

Recently, Radar had a full dental checkup and was neutered, with all vaccinations up to date, ensuring he is in tip-top health. Although he’s a bit thin at around 17 pounds, his appetite is strong, and he is thriving in his foster home. He is working on house training and coming along well. Radar has a gentle spirit and a shy yet curious nature that blossoms more each day.

Despite his past, Radar has discovered the joys of play and human companionship. He’s developed a special bond with his foster brother, Winston, and their playful antics bring out the best in him.

Radar didn’t get much outdoor time before, but now he delights in exploring the yard, running around, and taking in all the new scents. His big black eyes light up with every new discovery, reflecting his growing confidence and happiness. While still a little nervous, Radar makes strides daily, showing his true, loving personality bit by bit.

Radar is looking for a forever home where he can continue to flourish. He thrives with regular human interaction and would do best with another small to mid-sized dog companion to help him feel secure. Radar needs a family that understands the importance of companionship and won’t leave him alone for extended periods.

If you’re ready to welcome a sweet, loyal, and resilient dog into your life, Radar is eager to meet you and share his boundless love and joy.
