Meet Rover – A Bundle of Love in a Little Cavalier Body!

Rover is a 4-month-old Blenheim with a heart as big as his soulful brown eyes. Born on June 13, 2024, Rover found his way to us through a breeder surrender. He’s adjusted beautifully to life in his foster home and has quickly charmed everyone he meets with his gentle spirit, affection, and calm demeanor.

Rover is the definition of a “Velcro Dog.” He adores being close to his people, snuggling up on the couch, or curling up at your feet while you work or relax. This little guy thrives on companionship and will follow you from room to room just to be nearby. Rover is incredibly gentle and intuitive; he seems to know when his humans need a little extra comfort and will nuzzle close to offer it.

Rover has an easy-going temperament that makes him adaptable to most environments. He gets along well with other dogs and has shown a polite curiosity toward cats. He would do wonderfully in a home with other dogs, or with a family ready to shower him with attention. Rover absolutely loves children and teens!

Rover is in excellent health, with his vet giving him a clean bill and noting his bright eyes and shiny coat. He’s up-to-date on vaccinations and he is microchipped, but Rover will need to be neutered when he is around nine months old. (His adopting family will need to agree to this in writing at the time of adoption.) Rover’s daily routine is fairly simple and easy to maintain, though he would love a gentle brushing session to keep his coat looking its best.

Rover’s daily routine includes a couple of short, leisurely walks around the neighborhood, which he adores! He’ll happily trot along, taking in all the sights and sounds, and he has a particular fondness for greeting neighbors. Indoors, he enjoys lounging in sunny spots by the window, watching birds, or simply snoozing. He often snuggles up to his foster brother and sister during naps. In the evenings, Rover enjoys a good cuddle and will make his way to the sofa, where he settles down next to his person, content and happy. He’s also quite well-mannered; he is learning basic commands and is very polite when it comes to food and treats. He sleeps through the night (10 PM-7 AM) without needing any potty breaks.

Rover would thrive in a calm, loving home where he can be a central part of the family’s day-to-day life. Because he loves companionship so much, he’d do best with someone who is home during the day. A household with older children who understand his gentle nature would also be a lovely fit. While he does well with his foster siblings, he’d be just as happy to be the only “fur-baby” in a family.

There’s something undeniably special about Rover. He’s the kind of dog who brings a sense of calm and joy just by being near, and he seems to have a knack for making everyone around him feel loved. His affectionate, loyal nature makes him the ideal companion for someone looking to share quiet, happy moments with a four-legged friend.

In Rover, you’ll find not just a dog but a true companion—a sweet, soulful friend who’s ready to fill your home with warmth and unconditional love. If you’re ready to give this little Cavalier his forever home, he’s more than ready to meet you and become the new love of your life.
