Rubie in Las Vegas, NV

Rubie is a female ruby, born on January 1, 2017. She is in very good health. The Rescue has completed all the medical tests, shots, dental and physical exam. All Rescue dogs are micro chipped. She is ready to go to her fur-ever home.

Rubie had a very tragic journey to Rescue. She came into Rescue with two pack mates. Her owner was an older woman who died on a Thursday. Rubie and her two other pack mates stayed beside their owner until they were found on the following Monday. Rubie and her pack mates were traumatized and dehydrated. It has taken some very special foster love to get her to where she is today.

Rubie is super chill most of the time. She is not polite when it comes to meal time, however. She will jump up on you to be fed first. She will follow a command to get down or sit, but she is very definitely a foodie. She will eat until she pops if given the opportunity. That incudes toilet paper, so keep the bathroom doors closed!

Rubie will seek out quiet places to take her naps. She can sleep so deeply that she won’t know you are near. Rubie is not a cuddler at first. She may appear to be a bit standoffish, but has a charm all her own. She loves to play with toys and other dogs. Rubie is good with housetraining as long as you let her out when she wakes in the morning and after she eats. Rubie enjoys her walks. She will bark when you first go out, then will calm down right away. She likes to go on car rides too! Rubie is a flight risk. She will need to be in a very secure setting so she does not go exploring. Rubie appears to prefer women. She is very drawn to them. She gives hugs and kisses.

If you feel that you are a good match for Rubie, please complete the online adoption application at CavalierResscueUSA.net, and contact the Nevada coordinators: Judy and Rich Fitzpatrick at: rjfitz@sbcgobal.net, or (702)675-6452. Please note: Nevada does not get many Rescues, so first choice will go to residents of Nevada. If no candidate is found in Nevada, we will consider applicants outside the state.

You are very special heroes to us for choosing to make one of our adorable pups a family member. Thank you.
