Sarge in Greenwood, IN

JUST ADOPTED!

Here is Sarge with his new family, just in time for the holidays 🎄!

Hi, I’m Sarge. I am four years old. I came to the rescue after my owner passed away. I was sad and stressed at first, but my foster mom says I am really coming out of my shell. She says I am a sweetheart. I love nothing more than to cuddle up next to my foster mom and watch TV. She calls me her little couch potato. If I must be in my bed alone, I like to go to the laundry basket and pull out a shirt or socks to lie with.

I get along wonderfully with my dog foster siblings, but I am not a huge fan of the cat. I would prefer not to have to share my space with one. I am a bit skittish around men. When I first came to my foster home, I was downright scared of them. My human foster brother has worked hard to help me get over that fear. I prefer slow, gentle movement around me; for that reason, my foster mom would suggest a quiet home with no children, or older children only.

I am a perfect gentleman with my house training. I have never had a single accident. I let my foster mom know when it is time to go out by heading to the door. I’m healthy and weigh about 17 pounds.

I love to take walks around the neighborhood and have perfect leash manners. I prefer a harness, which is good because foster mom says it’s safest anyway. I sleep in my bed at night but would probably prefer to sleep with my human. I am a dainty eater, and it takes me a while to finish my meals. If there are other dogs in the house who might steal my food, I would need to be fed separately. Otherwise, I would just let them have it.

If you are interested in giving me a forever home, please fill out an online application (if you haven’t done so already). Then email Sherry Morgan at morgans817@sbcglobal.net to let her know of your interest.
