Sweet Shasta is a 7 year old Cavalier that was born 05/08/2018. She was given to rescue by a home based breeder who was retiring Shasta.

Shasta is a very affectionate girl who wants to be near or on your lap. She will follow you everywhere; you are her world. She is such a good girl. She trots right out and takes care of business and quickly returns. She sleeps beautifully in her kennel with a gentle snore. She is great on a leash and rarely barks. She gets along with her foster siblings and other dogs she meets.

Shasta is a healthy girl. She is up to date with her vaccines, is spayed, and had a dental in March 2025. She was microchipped while in foster. Like many middle aged mamas, she is a little round and, at 19 lbs,  could lose a pound or two.

Shasta is enjoying retirement and is a bit of a couch potato. She would be happiest with a retired owner or someone who works at home. She has a little separation anxiety and would prefer to travel with you. She can be an only dog, soaking up all the love, or cohabit with another small pup. She is not cat tested but shows little prey drive. She is not an adventurer and would be content with a small fenced yard. She can climb stairs but needs help getting on the couch. A single story house might be best as she eases into her golden years.
