Here he is with his new family…..

Hi! I’m Winston. I’m a 4-and-a half month old, 11 pound male Blenheim Cavalier King Charles spaniel (born July 21, 2025). I was given to Cavalier Rescue USA due to a change in my owner’s landlord pet policy.

I’m up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Since I am so young, I will be adopted with a neuter contract, and my new owners must commit to getting me neutered at 9 months of age. I am a true puppy: full of energy, inquisitive about everything, love all toys, and love going for walks. I will need a family that understands the work that goes into a puppy and training. I’ll sleep through the night in a crate, but I’m a morning pup and want to get up early. I like to play hard and nap hard, but when I’m tired, I will go take a nap in a bed.

I haven’t met a toy I don’t like! Though those plush toys I like to see how many pieces I can tear them into, so my foster mom has to keep a close eye on me and find me toys meant for chewing like rubber squeaky ones. I love playing fetch with all my toys so if you throw it, I’ll fetch it and bring it back for more.

I’ve met a few older kids, several other dogs, and a few cats briefly and did okay meeting everyone. I’m currently in a foster home without other dogs, but I get along great with other pups and after I warm up, I just want to play and follow them everywhere. I would be fine as a solo dog or with other dogs.

While I much prefer you to stay home so I can either play with my toys at your feet, or nap nearby,  I have done okay in a crate by myself for short periods of time. I am working on potty training but if you stick to a schedule I have very few accidents, but I won’t signal to go out. My foster mom tried the bell method, but I thought it was a toy so I kept stealing it.
