Zuko is a freckle face male Cavalier. Zuko is 1.5 years old, born 02/15/2023. This sweet Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is ready to find his forever home. He is a busy guy that is a lot of fun. He loves to play with toys and go for long walks. Zuko has a cheerful cooperative personality. He knows how to sit and comes when called (if he feels like it). Activity is important for Zuko. He needs morning and evening long brisk walks. Zuko is very dependably house trained. He is very food motivated. This will help Zuko with future obedience and puppy manner training.

Zuko has thrived in foster care, showing remarkable resilience and a loving personality. Now he is ready to share his boundless affection and energy with a family that will cherish him forever.

Zuko is a quintessential cuddle bug. His favorite place is nestled close to his human, basking in the warmth of their affection. Zuko bonds quickly and deeply with his humans, thriving on the love and attention he receives. If cuddling and snuggling was an Olympic sport, Zuko would win the gold medal! He tends to attach himself to one person in a family. His world revolves around not letting that person out of his sight.

Zuko came to Cavalier Rescue USA after his family experienced some major changes. He appears to have had very good care. Zuko is not only adorable but also in very good health. He is neutered and his weight is excellent at 13 pounds. He eats very well and loves treats. He has a lot of energy. He is up to date on all his vaccinations and his parasite prevention. Zuko has excellent hearing and vision.

Whether you’re an individual seeking a loyal companion or couple looking to expand your family Zuko can adapt and thrive. Zuko will thrive and develop in a calm, structured home. A single person or couple who is home most of the time will be a good fit for Zuko. A secure and physically fenced yard is a must. He needs a human that has some dog training experience who will be committed to taking him to puppy training classes. On leash walks are very important for Zuko. He needs to walk with someone who is capable of walking at a brisk pace. Zuko does pull on the leach when walking. He is easily distracted by birds. He stops walking to go on point when he sees a bird (which is super cute).

At this time, Zuko would not do well with small children and would prefer to be an only dog. He is immature and protective of his toys and treats. When he first came into foster care he was showing signs of resource guarding but has made a good progress and will now trade his “prize” for a treat. He also responds to verbal correction. He can play a little rough. Zuko runs very fast and jumps while playing. He loves his toys and is starting to learn to play fetch. He is an energetic fun little dog. Bringing Zuko into your home means gaining a devoted friend who will bring joy and warmth in your life. Zuko is more than a pet; he is a source of unconditional love and happiness waiting to be discovered.
