Please help William! ❤️
Update 4-18-26: Our heartfelt thanks to those of you who donated! William came through the surgery beautifully and is now recovering in his foster home. We are so grateful for your help in getting William this lifesaving surgery!
William is a 6-pound, 4-month-old tricolor Cavalier with the sweetest face, and a big fight ahead of him.
When his breeder detected a heart murmur, William was surrendered to Cavalier Rescue USA so he could get the care he desperately needed. After further testing, an echocardiogram revealed that William has Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA), a congenital heart defect where a vessel near the heart fails to close after birth. This is a serious, life threatening condition.

Without surgery, William will go into heart failure, and his life will be tragically short. But there is hope. This condition can be corrected with surgery and William can live a full long life.

Despite everything, William is exactly what a puppy should be: playful, curious, and full of love. He does not know he is sick and chases leaves and butterflies, happily chews on sticks, and loves meeting new people and dogs. He’s a cuddler, a little spark of joy, and melts everyone he meets.

We can save William, but we need your help. The cost of surgery is estimated at $4,000–$5,000. Every donation, big or small, brings him one step closer to a healthy, happy life. Click on the Donate link to help this precious pup… Donate
