Theo in Florissant, MO

Hi everyone, my name is Theo! My foster Mom says I am the best guy ever! I will be a year old next month, and hope to find my forever home before then. A good Samaritan rescued me from a life of breeding. Being a house dog is the best thing ever!

Sometimes noises scare me, like something called a vacuum, but I am learning to be brave. I like my toys, and will chew on them and not other things. I have met some kids and they can be okay, as long as they know that I am a little nervous. I love my new yard and go potty outside when my foster Mom tells me. Oh, she wants to tell you how good I am now!

Foster Mom here. Theo is the sweetest puppy. He is still unsure of household noises, like vacuuming or cabinet doors closing, but he’s adapting well to this new world.

Theo will possibly regress a bit in a new environment, but he adjusted quickly here. He will adjust again in any new home full of patience and love. His birthday is June 19, 2024.

Theo  is learning to eat off a rubber mat, and will learn to eat from a bowl with encouragement. All these things are new to him. Theo sleeps all night in a crate by the big bed bed, he would likely love to sleep in the big bed. Theo is also crated when left alone.

Theo understands “potty,” and goes out on a regular schedule. He does well in the car and does zoomies before napping. Theo also knows “sit” and “off.” He is getting the hang of leashes and short walks. He has played with other dogs his size and done well.

A 20-month-old toddler has met Theo, and he was okay with her. When introduced to some five and six-year-old boys, however, Theo found them a bit too active for his liking. Theo prefers older kids who know to be gentle.

Theo will need a securely fenced yard, as he loves to explore and play fetch. Theo is up to date on all shots and preventatives, and has been neutered. He will need patience as he gets used to a new environment.

Theo is a smart, sweet and loving pup who loves his people. He would thrive in a home where someone is home most of the time.
