Annie in Davis, CA

Sweet Annie is a tiny 11 pound Cavalier that came to us as a breeder release. At only 1 1/2 yrs old, everything is new to her. Surprisingly, she picked up outside pottying immediately and has never made a mistake inside. She is learning to sit and after some stroller rides, became motivated to try walking on a leash. Now she’s eager to walk and sniff her way around the neighborhood.

She gets along great with her foster Cavaliers and tries to get them to engage in play. She does not yet play with toys or balls. Her favorite activity is running around the backyard, diving into bushes searching for critters, and occasionally barking at squirrels.

Annie is initially shy but carefully approaches everyone to say hi. She is not a cuddler but follows her person and greets you with the happiest waggy tail. She sits near you on the couch, usually at your feet. She sleeps quietly in the kennel till you are ready to get up but she would prefer to share your big bed.

Annie is a healthy little girl. She was spayed, microchipped, and had a dental, losing 4 teeth. Although not much bigger than a puppy herself, she has had at least one litter and had a hernia repair during her spay. She is up to date on her vaccinations and flea, tick, and heart worm preventatives.

She is a lovely girl and so easy to care for and would be a wonderful addition to a family that works from home with older respectful children or a senior couple would be best for this tiny sweetheart. She is only 11 lbs and would not be a fit for small children. She’s so well behaved, she could be taken to work. She could be an only dog but another small dog companion would be a plus. She is not cat tested. A fenced yard is a must.
