Cherry Blossom in North Wales, PA
Cherry Blossom is a sweet Blenheim estimated to be 7 years old. She came to Cavalier Rescue USA from a commercial breeder.
She is a happy friendly pup, loves her human people and welcomes all visitors. Cherry is fine with dogs and wants to meet all she sees. She enjoys her playpen where she sleeps and eats. Cherry is not a lap dog but wants to be near you and is always asking for attention and love. An exception is during a thunderstorm or heavy downpour when she will run to jump in your lap for reassurance.
She will try to chase squirrels, birds and cats outside so she will always need to be leashed. She walks well on leash but isn’t a fan of prolonged walks. An enclosed securely fenced yard would work well for additional exercise.
Cherry is housebroken and knows “come, sit, stay and go pee.” She prefers not to be left alone, but if given a treat and left in her playpen, she is fine. She also loves car rides and does great. If you’re cooking in the kitchen she’ll be right there in a snap. Of course she’s always looking for a treat!
She has a grade 3 heart murmur and will need regular cardiologist visits. She is currently taking Pimobendan. She is doesn’t do well with poultry and is currently on a lamb based digestive kibble which she eats from a slow feeder bowl. She doesn’t like vet visits but isn’t aggressive. She has been spayed, had a dental cleaning with 10 teeth extracted, and is micro-chipped. She is up to date on all her immunizations and weighs 27 pounds. She has lost weight while in foster care but could lose a little more. She takes a monthly heartworm medicine and topical flea and tick treatment.
