Charlie in Bagdad, KY
Charlie is a 3-year-old tricolor male Cavalier who was originally surrendered by a breeder to a rescue and adopted by a family; however, after a few months they decided they were not ready for a young dog. The family made the tough decision, and he came to our rescue and is doing well.
Charlie gets along well with other dogs (small and large), cats and even farm animals! Like most Cavaliers, he loves his person. He tends to be a little wary of males but warms up to them after a short period of time. He is also a little skittish with sudden movements and while being picked up.
Charlie is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all shots and received a clean bill of health from the veterinarian. He is crate trained but also loves to sleep with his foster family in their bed. Although Charlie will go outside to potty, he is still learning to let his foster family know when he needs to go. Since he still young, Charlie would benefit with some additional training. Someone who is home most of the day and can give him the time and attention he needs would be ideal.
Charlie does great on a leash, car rides and loves to play fetch with his ball. He loves belly rubs and will seek affection every chance he can get.
