Gracie in Sidney, IL
Hi! My name is Gracie and I’m looking for my forever family.
Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I was born on July 7, 2020. My life didn’t start out so great, as I was used solely as a breeding dog for a commercial breeder.
A little over two months ago I was rescued, and placed with a really nice family to help me grow into the pup I was meant to be. My current home consists of three other Cavaliers, a cat and an energetic twelve-year-old boy. I get along great with everyone.
I haven’t had any accidents while being crated. My potty training in the house has been a little tough for me to learn, but it has gotten better. I have occasional pee accidents, and for some reason I struggle to poop outside. I’m still a work in progress.
I’m still learning to walk on a leash, and will need some more time to get used to it. I do love to run around the fenced in yard. I’d love a fenced in yard in my forever home.
I’m an active pup, and tend to follow my people and furry siblings around. I’ve shown some interest in stuffed toys, and will occasionally drag them out of the toy box.
My foster family tells me I’m a good girl and a sweetheart. They are really proud of the progress I have made so far in such a short amount of time.
I really like my food and treats, and get very excited about both. In the evening I love to snuggle with my furry siblings and foster Mom.
I’m up to date on vaccinations and preventatives for heartworm and fleas. I’m spayed, microchipped, and had a recent dental procedure where I lost eight teeth. The vet said I have a low grade heart murmur, probably a grade two, but no medication is needed at this time.
If you think you’re the right family for me and are willing to be patient with my training, then my foster family would love to talk with you. Please fill out our online application, if you haven’t already. Then email Meg Hutson Eisenmenger at Cavalierrescuemeg@gmail.com so she knows of your interest. I look forward to meeting you!
