Willow in Okemos, MI
A sweet, snuggly shadow. This describes Willow, a 4-year-old Blenheim female diva. She came into our care when her owner became ill and was no longer able to give Willow the attention she needs. And boy, does Willow demand attention! She loves people so much, that being away from them (even if her people go to the garage or the bathroom), tugs at her soul.
Willow insists on having her people home a lot and demonstrates separation anxiety when her foster mom leaves the room or home. She is crated when her foster mom runs errands or goes to work. Willow is a clever little gal, having figured out how to open the crate (now we use a carabiner). She has a history of chewing on things when she escapes from the crate and her people aren’t home.
The perfect fur-ever family for Willow will have someone home most of the day and a calm small dog buddy to help comfort her when the people leave the home. To help Willow manage her anxious state, she has started taking Prozac.
Willow has a zest for life, doing everything from eating to walk with enthusiasm. She enjoys being outside in the yard and playing fetch at her foster home. She is a great look out for deer and other wildlife that she sees at her foster home. Willow is a true Velcro dog, following her foster mom and the other Cavaliers around the home during the day. And she snuggles up on the couch next to her foster family in the evenings. She sleeps in the crate next to the foster mom’s bed at night.
Willow has good house manners, not having had any accidents in the home while in foster care.
She does well where there is a routine, so she can anticipate what will happen. She is definitely a people-dog! Willow is a good travel companion and does well in the car if there is a another Cavalier companion with her.
For the summer, Willow got a short haircut, but when her hair grows out it is thick and flowing. She is a very cute dog who loves the idea of being spoiled and pampered. Did someone say diva, that’s Willow! She received a clean bill of health from the vet, is up to date on her vaccinations, has been micro-chipped, and is spayed.
