Casper in San Jose, CA
Hi everybody,
I’m Casper, a sweet, loving and healthy, 8 month old, 13 lb Blenheim boy who craves attention from those I know and love. While I’m shy with new people, I happily greet everyone I know with my tail wagging. Just look at how cute I am!
I love romping and playing with my foster siblings, rolling and digging in the dirt, chasing the squirrels or balls, and playing tug of war with our toys. I’m generally a quiet boy who goes with the flow, but I’m not afraid to tell my foster siblings when I’ve had enough. I’m also good with my foster mom’s cats, except for giving them sloppy kisses and attempting to helpfully clean their ears. Some of my favorite things are snoozing or chewing on a toy next to those I love, or even better, getting snuggles. I’m always ready for attention and snuggles.
I came into rescue with worms and Giardia. That’s all cleared up now and I got all my shots, microchip, and neuter with no complications. I’m crate trained but I don’t know to ask to go outside, you’ll need to take me out regularly so I’ll learn to be a good boy about doing my job outside where I should.
I enjoy walks but need more training on leash since I might get over excited and run back and forth in front of your feet, I’m still a puppy after all. I do greet other dogs and people, but I may hide behind you and possibly bark if they if they are big or if they bark at me.
You’ll need a securely fenced yard since I particularly like to romp in the backyard and sometimes refuse to come back in. Be aware though, if left on my own for too long, I might get naughty and find something to dig up or chew on. As for toys I love anything I can chew on, chase, or play tug with.
I’m used to my crate at night and sleep there quietly but would love an invitation into your big bed for snuggles all night long. Every day I’m frequently found happily curled up with my foster siblings so it would be great if you have another dog that likes to play and snuggle too.
My foster mom has tried to teach me several basic commands like sit, come, and stay but I’m going to need ongoing lessons. I’m a smart boy so if you’re patient and give me lots of positive reinforcement I’ll keep on learning. I’m very eager to be loved and pampered.
If you feel you’re a good fit for me, please submit an online application if you haven’t already so we can get to know you better and then send an email to our Northern California Coordinator, Sarah Knudsen at sayrahk@gmail.com and let her know that you want me to come live with you. I’m looking forward to finding my furrever family.
With all my love, Casper.
