Sweet Parker Needs Your Help ❤️

One look into the sorrowful eyes of this beautiful fellow and you realize he endured his fair share of suffering. Parker is 8 years old. He lived most of his life in a crate in a puppy mill. He was rescued a year ago into a loving home, however they were no longer able to care for him and his current, extensive medical needs. During this past year with the love shown to him he has come out of his shell a bit but remains very timid. We believe some of this is due to the pain he is currently suffering.

Parker was diagnosed with bilateral grade 4 Luxating Patella’s, meaning his kneecaps are permanently dislocated. This results in significant lameness, pain, and potential limb deformities. In addition, Parker also has a torn Cruciate Ligament which will also need surgery. While he awaits surgical intervention, Parker takes daily pain medication to help manage the severe discomfort he currently experiences. 

We hope you will donate to help this boy. Even amongst the beloved Cavaliers, Parker is special. He is exceptionally sweet and enjoys the company of other pups around him. Despite his pain, he somehow manages to walk, although it limits his movements. He prefers to curl up on his bed and observe the world around him. Parker has an incredibly deep desire to be loved and a strong will to experience a new life as a happy, healthy dog. His resilience and grace have been deeply moving to all involved. We strongly believe that Parker and the life he could lead are worthy of the substantial investments required to provide him with a healthy future. 

The veterinary costs associated with the surgeries, follow up visits, and rehab will be approximately $6500. While cognizant of the resource implications, Cavalier Rescue USA is passionate about pursuing the necessary medical care and surgeries for Parker.  After enduring 7 years of his life in a puppy mill confined to a crate, this sweet boy deserves a new, pain-free life and to go on to have a loving family.
