Abby in York, PA

Meet Abby, a sweet 7-year-old female Blenheim King Charles Cavalier Spaniel who is looking for her forever home. She spent her life as a breeding dog on a commercial farm in Lancaster County. Abby is loving and playful. She is super soft and loves being petted, having cuddles on the bed or couch and being able to run free in the yard while barking at passersby.  She loves belly rubs and ear rubs and is friendly and eager to love and be loved. 

While in foster care she became housebroken, was spayed and was microchipped. She loves chewing on bully-sticks, the longer the stick the better and loves snacking on crunchy treats. She loves having plushy toys that she can carry around like her babies and collect into her bed.

Abby is housebroken if taken outside regularly, especially right after mealtime. She does well in her crate for a few hours but is used to being home with someone all day. She sleeps in her crate in her foster parent’s bedroom at night but would of course love to be allowed on the bed instead.

She loves to run free in a secure fenced-in yard. Abby does well on car rides and walks well on a leash if other strangers/dogs are not around. She is still getting used to being around other dogs. She does well with her foster brother and sister but will need some time, supervision and guidance around other dogs. She has also done well around the cats in the foster home. She does good around children as young as 8 years old, any younger is not known.
