Zoey in Douglassville, PA

Zoey is a sweet little ruby girl that came into rescue after her owner passed away. She is a sweet and well mannered young lady. She is crate trained and house broken, although she is still learning to signal to go out. We are working on basic commands, come, sit, and stay.

Zoey is a gem to bathe and groom. She walks great on a leash and harness. She is an excellent travel partner. She loves meeting new people and wiggles her tail in excitement. There are several other dogs in her foster home and Zoey gets along well with them.

When she first came into rescue, Zoey was diagnosed with IBD (Irritable Bowel Disease). She started on a fresh food diet and has done very well. She gets fed twice a day. She loves veggies and treats. She was spayed, microchipped and brought up to date on vaccines. Zoey lost some weight during her time in rescue and now weighs 12 lbs which is a healthy weight for her frame.

Zoey was seen by a neurologist and diagnosed with syringomyelia. She is on medication as needed that helps with the symptoms. Her medication runs about $20.00 a month.

Her favorite thing in the whole world is hanging on the sofa or sitting on your lap watching tv. Loud noises like fire crackers and thunder don’t bother her.

She is great with kids and other dogs. Birds and cats don’t seem to distract her. She loves to roam the fenced in back yard and would be happy to have a home with a safely fenced yard to explore.
